The Reeds Beach

Location: The El Tule arroyo

Attractions: Surfers say there’s a great right reef-break. Picks up lots of swell and blows out quickly from the west winds.

Swimming: Fair, if the winds aren’t too strong.

Tequila Cove

Location: In front of the Melia Cabo Real Hotel

Access: At Km. 19.5 in the Cabo Real resort, access the beach through the Hilton or Melia Cabo Real hotels.

Attractions: Swimming, watersports and sunbathing. A man-made breakwater makes swimming fairly safe, do not swim outside of the breakwater.

Swimming: Fair to good.

Palmilla Beach

Location: Palmilla Resort, before the hotel entrance
Access: Km. 27, cross the overpass and follow the signs down to the beach access in the arroyo (dry river bed).

Attractions: A beautiful wide bay that’s walkable all the way from the exclusive One&Only Palmilla hotel around to the multi-million dollar estates at La Caleta. Swimming and snorkeling is good if it’s not too windy. No facilities, but there are a few palapas for shade. Also the home of the Palmilla fishing cooperative and Palmilla hotel fleet makes this bay a great place to watch the pangas ride the into the beach with their catch (ask if there’s any fish to buy at the cleaning tables). Many of the men you’ll see are fourth and fifth generation fishermen and are as comfortable with a hand-line as they are with state of the art rods and reels.

Swimming: Safe if the bay is calm, but keep a close eye on children.
