Churches in Los Cabos

Mexico is 90% Catholic. The Virgin of Guadalupe, Jesus Christ, and the Saints are highly venerated and many Mexicans attend mass on Sundays.

There are also churches and temples of all types in Mexican cities, including Los Cabos.

The San Jose del Cabo church is also a tourist attraction. Please dress modestly if you intend to visit, skin is definitely a no-no, but the custom of covering women´s heads is not practiced. Ask permission to take photographs, and don´t ever interrupt a mass. Standing discreetly at the rear is acceptable, provided you´re not wearing a bikini or a muscle shirt!
